A doctor leaves from a normal day at the hospital, only to have his life turned upside down and everything he knows questioned. He looks for help from everyone he knows to try to get his life back together. Can he find the right people to help him?
This story took several turns that were very unexpected and kept me glued to the copy I was given to review. The mystery and romance was just enough to leave the plot hard to predict, but left me wanting more. I feel this was an expertly written book, with great facts and twists that make this a great read. The plot was really good and moved back n forth quickly throughout to keep the story moving, while still creating intrigue at every turn. This book did have many references to God and the Bible and how faith could help keep you on the right path. It wasn’t overly stated but does have huge impact on the story and how the characters interact with their beliefs and each other.
Overall this was a really great book and a very quick read. I usually do not read very fast, but this one kept me engaged and wanting more at every turn. I highly recommend you read this one, you won’t be disappointed!
Rick Burgess and Bubba Bussey aka RICK N BUBBA.. are 2 radio personalities that my late wife turned be onto many years ago. This has been 1 of the top radio shows in the south and there show has always been clean and had an aura of religion and believing in the greatness of God. Rick and Bubba have been through many ups and downs going in and out of radio markets along with their own personal challenges. This books speaks of their journey and how they made it through while giving their audience some much needed laughs and funny commentary. If you ever listened to these guys before, this is a really great read… or if you haven’t ever heard of them, this book is still for you as you can understand their struggles and see how they overcome.
Abandoned by her father and neglected by her self-centered, unstable mother, Sheila McGee cannot wait to escape the drudgery of her mill village life in Northern Ireland. Her classic Irish beauty helps her win the 1941 Linen Queen competition, and the prize money that goes with it finally gives her the opportunity she’s been dreaming of. But Sheila does not count on the impact of the Belfast blitz which brings World War II to her doorstep. Now even her good looks are useless in the face of travel restrictions, and her earlier resolve is eroded by her ma’s fear of being left alone.
